Another Radicalized Immigrant Goes on a Killing Spree

For the second weekend in a row, Americans have been targeted by radicalized immigrants. The Minnesota mall stabbing was perpetrated by a Somali refugee, the NJ/NYC bombings attacks were launched by a Afghan immigrant, and most recently, the mass killing in a Washington mall was perpetrated by a Turkish immigrant.

All three of these attacks have one thing in common: the perpetrators were allowed into the country because US immigration officials, at one point, determined that these individuals posed no threat to the US. They were wrong.

We have to shut it down. The whole refugee/asylum/immigration system. There is something horribly wrong going on.

The American SAFE Act would fix all of this. It would force the US intelligence establishment to certify that a refugee/asylum seeker poses no threat to the US before they would be allowed into the country.

All that is missing is YOU demanding that the bill be passed!

For the second weekend in a row, innocent Americans found themselves within the crosshairs of a radicalized immigrant.

The Minnesota mall stabbing was perpetrated by a radicalized Somali refugee. The NJ/NYC bombings were carried out by an Afghan immigrant, and the most recent mass killing in a Washington State shopping mall was launched by a Turkish immigrant.

Something is horribly wrong in our immigration system.

Here's an example. When a Syrian refugee applies for admission into the United States, they are asked if they have ever been a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party. Yes, teenage refugees are being asked to swear under oath that they have never been Nazis, completely ignoring that the youngest Nazi would now be no younger than 88 years old.

Refugees are asked to certify they are not a Nazi or a member of the Chinese Communist Party, but they aren't specifically asked about ties to radical Islamism. This is madness.

Last year, your colleagues in the House of Representatives passed the American SAFE Act with a bipartisan, veto proof majority. Harry Reid has chosen to filibuster and block the bill in the Senate.

This legislation would add just two requirements to our refugee/asylum system:

(1) A full background check must be done on each refugee/immigrant entering the US.

(2) The FBI, Department of Homeland Security, and the Director of National Intelligence must unanimously agree that the refugee/immigrant poses no threat to the United States.

There is nothing radical about that. This bill would simply force the administration to completely vet every single refugee and receive unanimous consensus from the intelligence community that the individual doesn't pose a threat to us.

I am DEMANDING that you push this legislation through reconciliation. Send the bill to Obama's desk. Force him to decide between protecting Americans and playing politics.

Inaction is unacceptable. You have the ability to get this bill passed. Anything less, and I will have to assume you simply don't want to keep us safe...
