Obama's ATF was just caught red-handed holding onto firearm records and illegally creating a gun owner registry!

In every instance, registration of firearms has led to the confiscation of firearms.

Obama has used the lists at the VA to disarm veterans, the list of disabled Social Security beneficiaries to go after the elderly, and now he is starting his next phase by creating a database of everyone else!

Allowing the federal government to create a registry of gun owners is a mistake that a free people get to make only once.

The law explicitly prohibits a national registry of gun owners. That is because every western country that has forced gun owners to register has then used that database to enforce confiscation laws.

It happened in the UK... in Canada... in Australia...

Now Obama is trying to bring it here.

The non-partisan Government Accountability Office just announced that it caught the ATF illegally maintaining a database of American gun owners.

The law requires gun dealers to transfer records of sales to the ATF, but the agency is only allowed to hold onto those records for a set period of time.

Even though the law requires personal information to be destroyed, the ATF has secretly been holding onto it.

First, Obama used the disability database at the VA to disarm American veterans. Then, he launched a program to use the list of disabled Social Security beneficiaries to go after the elderly.

Now, he has been caught creating a broad database on all American gun owners. There is only one purpose for this: confiscation.

You need to force the Obama administration to obey the law. You need to dismantle this database and see to it that all illegally collected records are permanently destroyed!
