Hillary Clinton broke the law. She mishandled classified information in a non-secure environment and then made our nation's secrets accessible to people who did not have the necessary security clearances.

That is criminal. The FBI determined that she did all of this, but they had insufficient evidence to prosecute.

Now, the establishments in both parties want this issue to just go away.

But here's the problem: Hillary Clinton lied. Yes, she lied to the American people, but she also lied under oath to you and your colleagues.

Lying and making false statements to Congress under oath is a serious crime. If you will not hold her accountable, why should anyone take an oath to tell the truth when testifying before Congress?

Under the statute, you and your colleagues have the power to hold Hillary in Contempt of Congress for lying and giving false statements under oath. Then, the statute says that the Department of Justice has a "duty" to impanel a Grand Jury.

This is an important distinction because in all other circumstances, the DOJ gets to decide whether to move forward or not. The Contempt of Congress statute declares the DOJ would have a "duty" to put the issue before a jury of Hillary Clinton's peers.

That is all any of us are asking for. If Hillary Clinton is innocent, let that be decided by a jury of her peers, not by entrenched bureaucrats and Democrats who are some of her closest allies.

You and your colleagues have the power to do just that. With one vote, you can ensure that a Grand Jury is impaneled and that justice is finally served.
