We are running out of time. The Pentagon just announced a final deadline for ruling on Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland's appeal. This is the Army Green Beret and Bronze Star recipient who is being discharged for 'pushing' a confessed Afghan child rapist.

While serving in Afghanistan, a local mother came up to Martland's unit and begged the Americans to stop the local police commander from kidnapping and raping her son. When an Army medic examined the young boy, they confirmed that he had been savagely raped and tortured for days.

When the Sergeant confronted the Afghan, the police officer confessed to everything. He confessed to kidnapping the boy, chaining him to a bed, and raping him for a week and a half. Then the police commander laughed and dared the soldier to do something about it.

Martland lost his composure and pushed the rapist. He knocked him over.

Now, he is being discharged because of the incident. A distinguished 11-year career is being destroyed because the Pentagon cares more about the rights of a confessed Afghan rapist than a distinguished American hero.

House Resolution 451 has been introduced to force Martland's reinstatement. It has been waiting for a vote for months.
