The White House just got caught in a major lie. The French Foreign Minister admitted that the goal of the conference is to craft a binding legal agreement that won't have to be ratified by Congress. The Obama administration has no intention to put the United Nations’ climate change treaty up for a vote in the Senate (as the Constitution requires). Instead, the Obama administration plans to sidestep Congress and enact the treaty on its own by executive order!

If we do not demand that Congress put a stop to this blatant unconstitutional scheme, then the President will have the ability to use taxpayer money to further his and the UN’s bogus climate change agenda! Congress MUST defund this trip!

You absolutely must stand up and demand that Republicans and Democrats alike defend the Constitution and STOP President Obama from illegally and unconstitutionally enacting this radical climate change treaty!

The President is planning another unconstitutional executive order to sidestep YOUR authority and enact a United Nations climate change treaty without following the Constitution. He plans to use an executive order to force this radical agenda on the American people.

The Constitution is clear: All international treaties must receive a two-thirds vote in the U.S. Senate in order for them to be ratified.

Obama knows that he doesn’t have the votes for this radical climate change agenda. However, just like the case of the UN Arms Trade Treaty and the upcoming Iran nuclear deal, Obama plans to pledge the United States’ support anyway and not even confer with Congress.

Earlier last week, John Kerry tried to placate you and your colleagues by promising that the climate agreement would not be binding. The French Foreign Minister came right out and said that Kerry must be “confused” because the intention has always been to create a legally binding treaty.

Kerry got caught speaking out of both sides of his mouth.

What is wrong with you? The President is literally dissolving your legislative authority right in front of your eyes and you can’t even be bothered to stop him!

It is almost like Obama still thinks he is a member of Congress because he continues to ignore you and your colleagues and writes law and treaties on his own.

This is lawlessness, plain and simple. What Obama is doing is illegal, unconstitutional, and unacceptable!

But watching you, our elected representative, do nothing is even worse. That is even more shameful!

The Founders made sure to give you the authority to stop out-of-control Presidents. Either honor your oath and defend your constituents against this rogue President or get out of the way. If you won’t honor your oath, We the People will replace you with someone who will!

You MUST defund this trip and stop Kerry and the rest of the US delegation from traveling to France to surrender US sovereignty!
