What Senate Democrats Just Did is Treason

Unbelievable. 41 Senate Democrats just gave the Obama administration the power to carry out the largest land grab in US history.

A bipartisan majority of 57 Senators voted to stop the EPA from unconstitutionally rewriting the Clean Water Act. And yet now that 41 Senators voted no, the GOP is just going to give up.

Mitch McConnell is too afraid to go after Obama's EPA and this issue isn't even on Paul Ryan's radar.

If they give up on this, then the Obama administration will be able to regulate every single piece of wet land in the country.

Unacceptable!

Don't let the GOP give up on this one! Demand that they use every means at their disposal to pass the Federal Water Quality Protection Act!

Yesterday's vote was shameful. 41 Senate Democrats voted to block the Federal Water Quality Protection Act and stand by while Barack Obama's EPA unconstitutionally rewrites the Clean Water Act.

The Clean Water Act is clear. The EPA has the authority to regulate "navigable waterways." That means rivers, lakes, bays, etc. Basically, any waterway that is deep enough for a boat to travel on.

The EPA has rewritten the law to remove the word "navigable" and expand the law to include all wetlands. That means creeks, puddles, retention ponds, irrigation ditches, and even "ancient riverbeds." No, that's not a joke. The EPA is fining property owners for building on ancient riverbeds.

The Federal Water Quality Protection Act would put a stop to all of this. It would put a stop to the EPA's radical rewriting of the Clean Water Act.

No more ranchers getting fined for building retention ponds. No more farmers getting land seized because they re-routed irrigation ditches.

You cannot allow 41 Senate Democrats to block this bill from going through.

Right now you could bring this bill to conference and pass it in the Senate with 6 votes to spare. So, why aren't you doing that?

You can put a stop to this right now. But you have to act. You have to push for this bill through conference.

I don't want to hear excuses. If Obama is allowed to unconstitutionally rewrite one law, then what's to stop him from rewriting others? Nothing.

You have the power to put a stop to this. Right now. Do it.
