The Obama administration is trying to grab more power and give the EPA the power to regulate any piece of land that touches water. The law only allows the EPA to regulate "navigable waterways," but thanks to the administration rewriting the law, the EPA now had the power to punish you for polluting the puddles on your front lawn!

This isn't just hypothetical. Americans are being fined hundreds of thousands of dollars over this, all to further Obama's nonsense environmental agenda. In Oregon, one man was put in jail for thirty days because he built three ponds on his property.

This is absolute madness and it has to stop! Don't let any other Americans become victims of this lawless administration! Demand that Congress halt this unconstitutional and illegal powergrab before it's too late!

When the Clean Water Act was passed into law, it gave the EPA the authority to regulate "navigable waterways." That's not my term, that's verbatim what the law allows.

The logic is simple. If a company pollutes a major waterway, other property owners would be adversely affected. But to prevent overreach, the 92nd Congress -- your predecessors -- limited this regulatory authority to navigable waterways. These are bodies of water deep enough and large enough for ships or boats to utilize. Without this clear definition, the EPA would have the power to regulate any wetland in the country.

Fast forward 40+ years and their fears have finally been realized. Despite clearly laying out what bodies of water were off limits, the Obama has rewritten the Clean Water Act to remove the word "navigable."

The result has been devastating. Americans have been given millions of dollars in fines -- some have even been imprisoned -- over how they choose to collect water on their own property.

The sad truth is that the EPA now has just as much authority to regulate the puddle in my driveway as it does to regulate the Mississippi River.

If this would have happened in 1972 when the law was passed, Congress would have slapped the EPA down. But you and your colleagues seem to be too afraid to defend your legislative authority from this administration. When Obama walks all over you, you say "thanks, may I have another?"

The Obama administration is rewriting laws and going after American citizens. If stopping that doesn't fall under your job description, then you need to vacate your office...
