Why Won't Democrats Let Our Soldiers Carry Guns?

This is becoming far too common. Radicalized Islamic extremists are attacking our domestic military posts and killing our servicemen and women.

And thanks to Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, they are being left defenseless. A decade-and-a-half old executive order outlaws concealed or open carry on military bases. Only MPs and security guards are allowed to carry.

We have the strongest military in the world but our domestic bases and facilities are left completely defenseless... all because Democrats want to score points with the anti-gun crowd.

Tragedies like what happened yesterday in Chattanooga are becoming far too common. A handful of Congressmen are making a push to allow soldiers to start carrying on bases and in recruiting centers. You MUST raise your voice and demand that this Clinton-era executive order be abolished!

Yesterday's shooting in Chattanooga was heartbreaking. But what is even more heartbreaking is the fact that our military men and women in these domestic facilities are left completely defenseless.

Thanks to President Bill Clinton, concealed carry on military bases has been illegal since 1993. Only MPs and security guards are allowed to carry weapons in domestic military bases and facilities.

After the shootings at Fort Hood, the Little Rock recruitment center, the Washington Navy Yard, Fort Hood (a second time), and now Chattanooga, how many more military men and women must die before you allow them to use their training to defend themselves.

There have been calls to install bulletproof glass in the windows of recruitment centers. This is a great idea. But Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez didn't stop his shooting spree yesterday when he was confronted by bulletproof glass. His spree ended when armed police officers opened fire on him.

100% of mass shootings and terrorist attacks like these end with the good guys showing up with guns.

There's no telling whether arming the soldiers in this recruiting station would have prevented further loss of life. But with the current Clinton-era executive order on the books, they didn't even stand a chance.

If these men and women were serving abroad, they would be allowed to carry weapons daily because we as a country recognize the threats against them. But when they return home to domestic bases, we force them to disarm.

The enemy is no longer abroad. The enemy is here and living among us. Pretending this threat doesn't exist won't solve anything.

You MUST repeal this deadly 1993 executive order and allow our trained men and women in uniform to defend themselves against these radical Islamic extremists!
