Today, all across the country, the list of servicemen and women killed during War on Terror will be read aloud. Missing from the list? The 22 veterans who commit suicide every day.

Today is a day for celebrating the fallen. But at the same time, Memorial Day should serve as a reminder that we, as a country, are failing our veterans.

There's no need for this to be happening. Since the scandal at the VA came to light, only ONE person has been fired.

John Boehner held a press conference blasting the VA for its ineptitude. That isn't enough. Talk is cheap. You need to demand action!

This week, John Boehner blasted the VA for firing just one person since Eric Shinseki resigned. Just one person.

Well, talk is cheap. While these criminals are kept on the job, you and your colleagues have made a career out of just throwing more money at the problem. You just approved spending another $100 million on a VA hospital that is already $1 BILLION over budget.

The problem isn't that you refuse to spend money on the VA. The problem is that instead of devoting a billion dollars towards helping veterans, you've thrown it at a construction company that has proven incapable of meeting a deadline.

You promised to help our veterans while you were campaigning. What have you done since then? Practically no one was fired and the VA has been allowed to operate as usual.

You and your colleagues have failed our veterans. Sorry if that's not what you want to hear, but it's the truth. You need to make this a legislative priority for the rest of the year. The road to your re-election runs through the VA.
