Mitch McConnell's Senate Actually Surrendered to Obama

Mitch McConnell just surrendered. He allowed a final vote on a bill that would surrender Congress' power to ratify the Iran nuclear deal. In all, 98 Senators voted to give up their treaty powers. Only Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) held the line and voted against it.

But it's not over! The legislation still has to pass through the House of Representatives.

This is important. You must raise your voice right now and demand that the House amend the legislation to classify the Iran deal as a treaty. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tried so hard to do this in the Senate but the RINOs blocked him at every turn.

The only way to stop this deal is to officially classify it as a treaty and the only way that happens is if you raise your voice right now and demand it!

The Senate just voted 98-1 on legislation that would give up Congress' power to stop the Iran nuclear agreement.

If the agreement was classified as a treaty, it would take 67 Senators to ratify it. But instead, the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act treats the deal like any other. And instead of the veto power resting with the Senate, it will belong to the President and 34 Democrat Senators.

You see, even if the Senate passes a Respolution of Disapproval, the President can still veto it. Then, it takes 67 Senators to override the veto. All it takes is 34 Senators to side with the President and the agreement is enacted.

The Founding Fathers gave you and your colleagues treaty ratification powers for a reason. One man should never have the authority to enter an entire nation into a foreign agreement, especially with a country that wants to wipe us off the map.

The Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act assumes that the nuclear deal is excellent and it forces the Congress to jump through hoops to stop it.

This legislation completely changes the dynamic and surrenders Congress' treaty powers.

Your job is to make sure that this treaty is right for the country.

Yet, instead of standing up to this Imperial President, you are giving him more power. Instead of honoring your oath, you are doing the bare minimum necessary to claim you "tried."

Trying isn't good enough, especially when the solution is so obvious: classify the Iran deal as a treaty.

Ted Cruz tried hard to push through a simple amendment. It would have officially classified the nuclear deal as a treaty and require a 2/3 Senate vote for ratification.
