SPYING on Americans - IMPEACH FBI Director Christopher Wray & SCRAP FISA
Christopher Wray, the current FBI Director, has increasingly displayed corruption and intentional incompetence every day. Wray, along with his masters, has demonstrated to the American people that they do not care to defend our rights, our security or privacy. From the open border to FBI media censorship, to Wray's pleas to renew the FBI's unconstitutional Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, Wray's failures and corruption are glaringly obvious, and for that, he MUST be IMPEACHED!
Wray has found himself once again in the hot seat, this time answering questions about all things surveillance, specifically the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
Wray recently met with the Senate Judiciary Committee to advocate that Congress reauthorize warrantless surveillance powers for the intelligence community without the need to secure a court-issued warrant to review information on Americans swept up in the process – a clear undermining of the fourth amendment.
Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act is set to expire at the end of the year unless it is reauthorized by Congress, threatening to topple a program that allows the U.S. government to monitor the communications of foreign nationals located abroad.
However, critics on both the right and left claim the program encroaches on Americans’ civil liberties, specifically if the FBI conducts warrantless surveillance on communications between Americans and foreign nationals – again, a violation of the fourth amendment, and another reason for Wray to be impeached and FISA to be scrapped!
A letter objecting to combining the measures was signed by more than 50 lawmakers on Wednesday, led by Reps. Warren Davidson, R-Ohio, and Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, along with Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif., and Progressive Caucus Chair Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash.
In this letter, they stated that "A temporary extension would be entirely unnecessary, and it would be an inexcusable violation of the public’s trust to quietly greenlight an authority that has been flagrantly abused." The letter addressed to Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La said, "If Section 702 is to be reauthorized for even a single day, it must be through standalone legislation subject to robust, open debate and amendment."
Mike Lee, in opposition to the renewal of FISA, stated, “I’ve expressed concerns to FBI directors appointed by presidents of both political parties in three different presidential administrations. Every darn one of them has told me the same thing. ‘Don’t worry about it. We got this taken care of. We got new procedures; it’s going to be different now.’ It’s never different. You haven’t changed,” and “We have absolutely no reason to trust you. Because you haven’t behaved in a manner that’s trustworthy.”
Congress needs to defend the liberties and rights of the American people, and that includes either requiring major reforms to FISA so that the fourth amendment is no longer violated or scrapping the whole thing. In addition, Christopher Wray has time and time again proved himself incompetent and against the American people, and for that, he needs to be impeached! Congress, stand on the right side of history! Defend our fourth amendment, scrap FISA, and IMPEACH Wray!
