With the impeachment trial all but over -- Donald Trump will be acquitted on Wednesday -- Democrats are now licking their wounds. Despite their claims that the trial was illegitimate because they didn't get exactly what they wanted, the Democrats lost... and they lost big.
For years, the Left has been promising their supporters that they would remove President Trump from office. It was all a lie, and Democrat voters now know that.
That is why Nancy Pelosi is so nervous. She knows that unless she delivers a major victory for the Left, she will find herself out of a job...
And she is now pivoting to immigration. Specifically, Pelosi wants to finally push through a bill to grant amnesty and a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens.
For months, Pelosi has been negotiating with so-called moderate Republicans on an immigration "compromise."
But don't let that word fool you. Usually, a compromise would mean that amnesty would be exchanged for border security and fixes to our legal immigration and asylum programs. Pelosi's plan is nothing but an amnesty givea way.
Step one of her plan is to legalize every single illegal alien receiving amnesty under Barack Obama's 2014 executive order and then expand it to includes millions of other illegal aliens. In total, it is estimated to give amnesty to no less than 2.5 million illegals. But as if that wasn't bad enough, these amnesty recipients would also receive a pathway to US citizenship.
And here is the real kicker: the plan would even give amnesty and citizenship to illegal aliens with criminal records. As long as an illegal alien has not been convicted of more than four misdemeanor crimes, he or she would still be eligible for citizenship. Let me repeat that: Illegal aliens could have spent just shy of four years in jail and still receive a pathway to US citizenship.
But this is just the beginning. Democrats are also tacking on extra amnesty programs. The Farm Workforce Modernization Act, which already received a test vote in the House, would add millions of additional illegal aliens to the program. This amendment would grant amnesty and a pathway to citizenship to any illegal alien who has worked on a farm, or is related to someone who has worked in the agricultural industry.
Again, the same loopholes exist to allow for amnesty and citizenship even for illegals with four criminal convictions. But what makes this plan truly dangerous is that it grants citizenship to farm workers' family workers.
By being undocumented, illegal aliens do not have proof of employment. They also do not have documentation to prove who is related to whom. We see this come up at the border every single day. Human smugglers show up to the border with children in-tow and claim to be their parent. They do this because they know US law treats "family units" differently and requires that parents with children be released.
If this expanded amnesty amendment program, though, we will see this kind of fraud spread. Anyone can claim to work on a farm and then turn around and claim other illegal aliens as their "family members."
In addition to this, we are also hearing Democrats are preparing amnesty amendments to cover other parts of the American economy, such as illegal aliens who work in the food service and hospitality industries.
Pelosi's office promises that by the time this bill comes to the floor for a final vote, it could end up covering tens of millions of illegal aliens. Yes, that means practically every illegal alien would be covered.
And do you want to know what is truly sickening? The GOP is also on-board!
When the Farm Workforce Modernization Act came up for a test vote in the House, 34 Republicans voted for it. Pelosi's plan has massive support among the turncoat wing of the Republican Party.
The Democrats want to piece their amnesty plan all together. They know they can't legalize tens of millions of illegal aliens with a single vote. But if they can pass it piecemeal, bit-by-bit, they know that they can make their amnesty dreams a reality.
That is why it is so important to kill this amnesty plan right now!
With impeachment all but finished, Democrats are now scrambling to accomplish something for their Leftist base. They want the biggest amnesty bill ever to be that something...
It is up to YOU to rise up and stop it!
