Last week, I warned you that the Democrats had convinced 50 Republicans to sign onto their amnesty plan.
The strategy would bypass Paul Ryan and the GOP leadership and force votes on four different amnesty bills. NONE of these bills approve a border wall. They are clean amnesty bills, meaning that they would make Obama's amnesty executive order permanent. Whichever bill receives the most votes would be sent to the Senate.
Under the rules, if 218 Congressmen sign onto a bill, then Paul Ryan must schedule a vote. The Democrats announced this week that they had reached the magic number, and some.
There are 193 Democrats signed onto the plan. On top of that, there are 50 Republicans who want to force a vote on the legislation.
But one Republican is saying, 'not so fast...'
Congressman Jeff Denham (R-CA) announced this week that while he wants a vote, he would not be signing onto the discharge petition to force a vote.
This is a big deal! Less than a week after the Democrats hatched the plan, one moderate Republican has already jumped ship.
That was YOU! Your activism forced this Republican to back down. He went into this thinking backing amnesty was a sure bet. It was activism from you and other likeminded Conservatives that got him to back away from the plot!
Even with this one reversal, the Democrats still have 48 RINOs signed on. They only need 25 to force a vote.
It is time to double down and shut this surrender plot down right now!
We literally cannot afford to let this bill through.
Out of all four of the amnesty bills being proposed, not one includes funding for a border wall.
Not one goes after sanctuary cities by removing their funding. Not one targets the immigration lottery or chain migration.
50 Republicans have so far signed onto a plan that would permanently defeat President Trump's conservative immigration agenda. If Democrats retake even just one chamber of Congress in the fall, the border wall will be finished.
We don't have time for this and the Establishment knows this. The last thing they want is for Trump's immigration agenda to become law. Of course they want to pass one of these surrender bills, but they also know that they can win simply by running out the block and stopping the wall from being built.
They have the votes. But YOU also have a say in this!
