Earlier this week, three masked teenagers broke into an Oklahoma home and were shot and killed by the homeowner’s AR-15 wielding son.
Apparently, a reporter tracked down one of the assailant’s grandparents and asked what he thought about his thug grandson being killed.
“What these three boys did was stupid,” said Leroy Schumacher.
Schumacher agrees his grandson and his friends made a bad decision, but not one worthy of deadly consequences.
“They knew they could be punished for it but they did not deserve to die,” said Schumacher.
Redfearn, 19-year old Maxwell Cook and 16-year old Jake Woodruff were shot by the homeowner’s son while breaking into the Wagoner County house Monday.
Schumacher says his grandson didn’t have a chance. The 17-year old, he says, never got into trouble.
“Brass knuckles against an AR-15, come on, who was afraid for their life,” said Schumacher.
The homeowner’s son has not been charged with a crime. Deputies believe he fired in self-defense.
“There’s got to be a limit to that law, I mean he shot all three of them; there was no need for that,” said Schumacher.
Let’s just get some things straight. It was 3-on-1. These thugs broke into the home carrying deadly weapons, by the grandfather’s own admission. They got exactly what was coming to them.
Had it not been for the AR-15 and its high capacity, this story could have ended a lot differently.
Liberals want to ban AR-15s because they claim the gun doesn’t have a defensive purpose. When you present the hypothetical of having to fend off multiple attackers, these liberals usually laugh and say that would never happen.
Now that we have a case of that hypothetical happening, it is interesting that the anti-gun talking point is that three armed and masked burglars going up against a homeowner’s AR-15 is ‘not a fair fight.’
Sounds about right…
