What a speech last night. President Trump hit it out of the park.
But what was even more noteworthy was how truly despicable many of the Democrats were. Refusing to clap or even booing common sense proposals like helping victims of illegal alien crime and making sure that radical Islamic terrorists cannot infiltrate our country.
“It is not compassion, but reckless to allow uncontrolled entry from places where proper vetting cannot occur,” Trump declared in his speech.
“Those given a high honor of admission to the United States should support this country and love its people and its values. We cannot allow a beachhead of terrorism to form inside of America. We cannot allow our nation to become a sanctuary for extremists.”
This part of his speech received not one, but TWO standing ovations from the Republican side of the aisle. But while they stood and applauded this President’s promise to keep us safe, these spineless Republicans work behind the scenes to undermine him.
The White House was planning to roll out its revised refugee executive order today. We have just been notified that President Trump personally decided to reschedule the signing in order to prevent the media from using it to overshadow last night’s successful speech. The White House is also trying to make sure they will have support in Congress this time around.
What doesn’t make sense is how Republicans in Congress would stand and clap for this, but simultaneously refuse to back Trump up. Spineless Republicans like John McCain and Lindsey Graham actually worked to undermine the President’s original refugee order.
They stood and clapped last night. These people think they can applaud President Trump in public while undermining him behind the scenes. They think that they can vote to shut down Obama’s unvetted refugee program in 2015 and then tuck their tails and run when there are finally enough votes for it to pass.
They’re wrong. They have to be wrong.
Even the mainstream media couldn’t spin last night’s speech. CNN conducted a poll immediately following Trump’s speech and found that 70% of respondents believed that Trump’s position on terrorism and refugee resettlement was the correct policy.
Every single Republican applauded Trump’s plan. Even some Democrats did as well. The American public heard President Trump’s proposal and support it.
The age of inaction is behind us. The time to force Congress to act is now!
When President Trump signs his new refugee executive order this week, the leftist judges will jump at the opportunity to tear it apart just like they did with the first.
When the liberal activist judge in Washington State blocked Trump’s original executive order, he allowed thousands and thousands of unvetted and under-vetted refugees to pour into the country.
We literally cannot afford for this to happen again.
No more undermining from spineless Republicans like McCain and Graham. No more delay tactics from McConnell or Ryan.
It is up to YOU. The President laid out his vision for America. He passed the torch to you to make sure that your Representative and Senators follow through.
This is your moment.
