Did you see the news that broke yesterday? An unnamed FBI investigator has leaked that the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email crimes has taken an unexpected turn.
It turns out that “someone connected” with Hillary Clinton has lied to Federal investigators.
You know what they always say… the cover-up is worse than the crime.
In this case, that seems to be the case. The FBI is expanding into investigating Hillary Clinton and her associates for cover-up crimes.
The specific crime in question is known U.S. Code 18 Section 1001 and carries a 5 year prison term for lying to Federal investigators or covering up any “material fact” in an investigation. The lie does NOT have to have occurred under oath.
Everyone thinks that when Martha Stewart was convicted, it was for insider trading. But the fact of the matter is that Martha Stewart was convicted because she made misleading statements to Federal agents.
This criminal act is the lowest hanging fruit. It is the easiest to prove. When Bernie Madoff was convicted for his Ponzi scheme, he was also convicted on USC 18 Section 1001 and they slapped on additional years to his sentence. This is what Hillary Clinton is now up against.
And you can bet your bottom dollar that the Obama White House is scrambling to put a stop to this investigation.
There are a lot of good people in the FBI who are dedicated wholeheartedly to enforcing the law. These men and women aren’t on a political witch hunt. They simply believe that no one is above the law.
Unfortunately, their bosses are incredibly political. They aren’t interested in enforcing the law, they’re only interested in protecting their political allies.
At any moment, the White House could pull the plug and put a stop to this investigation entirely.
Is that what you want? Do you want Hillary Clinton to walk?
As promising as this new information is, I don’t see any possibility of the FBI actually filing charges. There are just too many people at the top who want to protect her.
If we keep the status quo, then Hillary could make it to the Oval Office.
Do you know what I say? Not on my watch!
If Congress appoints a special prosecutor to investigate the case on Congress’ behalf, he or she would serve as a safety net in case the Obama administration shuts the FBI down. If the White House pulls the plug, then the Special Prosecutor could move the case forward and take Hillary down.
Hillary Clinton broke the law. She lied under oath and one or more of her associates lied to Federal investigators. That’s five years in prison and a complete disqualification from running for president.
This is doable. Putting Hillary Clinton in prison is doable. But we can’t afford to just wait for the DOJ and FBI to move this forward.
