House Leadership Finally Taking Action Against Eric Holder

Eric Holder truly wishes that conservative activists would just go away until after the election. But you show no signs of doing do. And until recently, the Republican Leadership in the House wanted pretty much the same thing. They were so afraid of being attacked in the press as appearing "political" that they have hemmed and hawed literally for years.
No more. On May 18th, Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH), Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), and House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) sent an "or-else" letter to Attorney General Eric Holder. Among other things, it states:
… two key questions remain unanswered: first, who on your leadership team was informed of the reckless tactics used in Fast & Furious… second, did your leadership team mislead or misinform Congress in response to a Congressional subpoena?
Finally, the letter warns: "If necessary, the House will act to fulfill our Constitutional obligations in the coming weeks."
House "obligations" mean only one thing, the thing conservative activists like you have been demanding for some time now: contempt hearings against U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder!

And, House Leadership notwithstanding, you are not alone in ramping up the pressure. Five GOP freshmen sent Speaker Boehner a letter themselves, echoing your desire for contempt charges. That letter states:It’s time for the House to formally recognize the obvious: That Attorney General Holder has not and will not cooperate with the legitimate investigation launched by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and is therefore in contempt of Congress.

Truly, the key to this ALL ALONG has been YOUR action vs. recalcitrance of the House Leadership as embodied by Speaker Boehner.Finally, he is listening… and if the rest of Congress transfers your pressure from them to him, he will have NO CHOICE but to proceed against Holder, and let the headlines fall as they may!
It is a well-deserved tip of the hat that goes out to conservative activists nationwide. The Obama administration has been looking to sweep this fiasco under the rug for years now. And while, to his credit, Rep. Issa hasn't let them do so, his own party didn't want to deal with it. If concerned Americans had shut up, Eric Holder would be as safe as a pair of kindergarten scissors.
This is BY FAR our best opportunity to demonstrate to the world the corruption at the highest levels of the Obama administration.
In an election year, this is an opportunity that we can't afford to ignore.
