URGENT: DEMAND for The Investigation into Congressional Members' Purchase of Defense Stocks
War is profitable for those who produce weapons, ammunition, medical supplies, and aircraft, as well as for those loaning money to nations in need. With the recent outbreak of war in Israel against HAMAS, we are witnessing a surge in defense stocks. Interestingly, many congressional members purchased these stocks shortly before the Israel/Hamas war broke out. If any of our congressional members were aware of the Israel attack and chose to buy defense stocks instead of warning the world, they MUST be identified & investigated for their involvement in this war and removed from office! Congressional members should not be PROFITING OFF of BLOODSHED!
Did they have prior knowledge of the impending conflict? Profiting from war is disgraceful, but being aware of an impending war or attack and choosing to profit from it rather than taking action and warning the world is an even greater evil.
Let's break this down:
To begin, defense company General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has experienced a surge in purchases. This is not entirely surprising, as defense stocks often become attractive during times of geopolitical tension. Remember the Ukrainian war? We observed a similar trend back then.
However, what is even more intriguing is the sectoral split between Republicans and Democrats. A significant number of Republicans have shown interest in the energy sector. Heavyweights like Exxon Mobil (NYSE: XOM), Devon Energy (NYSE: DVN), and Chevron (NYSE: CVX) are clearly their favorites.
On the other side of the aisle, Democrats seem to be playing the long game, focusing on the cybersecurity sector with acquisitions in firms like Fortinet (NASDAQ: FTNT), as reported by @unusual_whales on October 9.
These companies heavily lobby Congress.
Taking a closer look, some notable members who have entered the fray include Republicans Michael McCaul (Texas), Kevin Hern (Oklahoma), and Michael Guest (Mississippi), with the latter acquiring up to $15,000 of XOM in August. Among Democrats, Fankel (Florida), Richard Larsen (Washington), and Walter Schrader (Oregon) stand out.
This brings us to the heart of the matter.
We know that members of Congress purchased defense stocks, and we observed a similar pattern right before the war in Ukraine broke out. Now, we are witnessing this pattern repeat right before the war in Israel erupted.
It is plausible that these congressional members had prior knowledge of another impending war and saw it as an opportunity to buy defense stocks at precisely the right moment. It is also possible that they were aware of the looming attack before it occurred, did nothing to warn or take action, and instead facilitated a way to profit from the conflict and bloodshed.
Congress and the public must identify and investigate the congressional members who purchased defense stocks before the HAMAS attack. We must scrutinize those who may have been aware of this attack and the subsequent war but chose to profit from the bloodshed instead of speaking out and alerting the public. We must identify and investigate those in our government who profit from war and bloodshed!
