Well, this is it. Today is the day that Obama administration officials will finalize the United States’ involvement in the UN Arms Trade Treaty.
As you might remember, this is an international treaty that would force countries to maintain a registry of gun owners to stop arms trafficking. The UN Arms Trade Treaty flies in the face of everything America stands for, especially the Second Amendment. So it is understandable why the Obama administration would work so hard to have it implemented.
Right now, administration officials are meeting at a UN Arms Treaty conference in Mexico City. This is a meeting of the minds to start the process of implementing global gun control.
In 2013, President Obama instructed John Kerry to sign the Arms Trade Treaty, knowing full well that it would never be ratified in the Senate. During a test vote, the treaty received 44 votes. We were 16 votes away from losing the Second Amendment.
But now that Congress has caved in and allowed Obama to push his Iran deal without a treaty vote, the President is emboldened. He is going to push the UN Arms Trade Treaty through without Congress. And he fully expects the Republicans in Congress to roll over.
And unless you get loud right now and FaxBlast all of Congress, the Obama administration will enforce the UN Arms Treaty!
I wish we weren’t forced to constantly fight to protect our rights. I wish we could take a step back. But the price of liberty is eternal vigilance and right now, the 2nd Amendment is under attack.
The Obama administration has been trying to create a nationwide gun registry from day one. Even though Federal Law explicitly forbids a registry, the ATF has rolled out a number of regulations doing just that. For example, if you buy more than one firearm at a time, you’re added to a registry. The UN Arms Trade Treaty gives Obama just the political cover he needs to implement a registry of gun owners nationwide.
There have been 130 countries that signed the UN Arms Trade Treaty. Of those, 72 of these countries ended up officially ratifying it, making them official parties to the treaty. The UN Arms Trade Treaty stipulates that within one year, a Conference of States Parties would be convened to implement the disarmament program. That is what is happening in Mexico City. And even though Congress never ratified the treaty, the Obama administration is attending as if we did ratify it!
This is despicable. But what else do you expect from the Obama administration so eager to destroy the 2nd Amendment? The President saw an opening and he took it.
Now it is up to YOU to fight back!
This is literally happening right now. There was no fanfare and no White House announcement. Administration officials tried to sneak down to Mexico City to finalize the United States’ involvement in this disarmament.
But, now you know and now that you know, you have an obligation to act. You have an obligation to stop what you’re doing and force every single Congressman and Senator to put a stop to this. If you won’t, who will?
Don’t let Obama join the UN Arms Trade Treaty! Raise hell and DEMAND that Congress fight back!
