Fellow Conservative,

Mitch McConnell has promised that the U.S. Senate will surrender its treaty powers (once again) by the end of the week.

No, this isn’t a joke. The vote is on whether to give Barack Obama the power to negotiate a trade agreement with Asia on his own, with zero Congressional input or amendments.

Trade agreements can be good for the American people. But that’s the problem: we have NO idea what is in this trade agreement.

Congress is about to give Barack Obama the power to put whatever he wants in the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement and then they will be powerless to change it!

There are a number of things that Obama could sneak into the bill and they are all terrifying. Even the liberal and union advisors who have read the agreement agree: this is a HORRIBLE trade agreement.

McConnell has moved forwarded and given the Senate 30 hours to debate the bill. We are running out of time!

Stop the GOP from giving Obama unlimited power to edit the Asian trade agreement!

It’s important to have a trade agreement with Asia and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) could definitely bring Americans a lot of prosperity. But we have no idea what's in it because the contents are being kept secret.

The Senate is deciding whether to give Barack H. Obama “fast-track” powers, meaning that he would have the ability to negotiate the agreement on his own without Congressional oversight.

What are some of the things he could sneak into the trade agreement?

Well, immigration reform is definitely on the list. President Obama could inject immigration reform – specifically with Asian countries – into the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the only way for Congress to stop it would be to scuttle the whole agreement (which would never happen).

After that, Obama could put gun control provisions into the Trans-Pacific Partnership as well. The United States imports a decent number of firearms from Southeast Asia. Not to mention there is still a hope that the tens of thousands of M1 Garands and Carbines stuck in South Korea could enter the US once Obama leaves office. Obama has already used executive orders to stop the importation of these World War II/Korean War relics. He could easily insert the language into the TPP and make his executive order permanent!

And lastly, there is a real fear that the TPP could be used as a medium to give the United Nations control of the United States’ Internet networks. Just this week, John Kerry gave a speech in South Korea (who will be part of the TPP) and detailed his plan to hand control of the Internet over to the United Nations. The Internet, he explained, “needs rules to be able to flourish and work properly.” An open and free Internet is what has allowed the United States’ economy to grow over the past few decades and now the Obama administration wants to hand over control of the Internet to the UN… Unacceptable!

I just touched on three things that Obama could possibly insert into the Trans-Pacific Partnership. I didn’t even mention global warning or any of the other terrible Obama policies that could be added to the deal.

The point is, this is too important to just give Barack Obama free rein. For years, we have been fighting Obama’s executive orders and actions and now we’re supposed to just accept giving him a blank canvas to pass his liberal agenda? No way!

Mitch McConnell and the GOP are about to give Obama complete power! Click to tell them to STOP surrendering to Obama’s liberal agenda!

When I was young, my grandmother would always say that ‘even a broken clock is right twice a day.’ Right now, the Democrats are our best hope in getting this stopped.

That’s a scary thought, right?

We here at Conservative Daily have nothing against trade agreements. We firmly believe that we need a trade agreement with Asia.

But we are not willing to just let Barack Obama negotiate it on his own. There is a reason that the trade agreement is being kept secret. They don’t want you to know what is in it!

Yet, in the same breath, the GOP is telling you to just trust the President on this one…

This is it. McConnell is pushing the legislation through. In just a few hours, the Senate will vote to give Obama even more power.

Now, more than ever, you need to click and raise your voice to DEMAND that Congress put a stop to this madness!

Sincerely,

Joe Otto
