Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has officially caved. The rest of the GOP leadership in the Senate has caved. Instead of standing firm against Obama’s amnesty and using Homeland Security funding as leverage, he wants to surrender to the Democrats’ demands and pass a “clean” DHS funding bill.
“I’ve indicated to the Democratic leader that I’d be happy to have his cooperation to advance consideration of a clean DHS bill, which would carry us through September 30,” Mitch McConnell told reporters on Tuesday. “With Democratic cooperation on a position they have been advocating for the last two months, we could have that vote very quickly.”
That means that is McConnell gets his way, Obama’s amnesty bureaucracy will get all of its funding and illegal aliens will start receiving welfare, Social Security checks, and then more tax credits than YOU!
This is UNACCEPTABLE!
These pushovers campaigned on a platform of stopping Obama’s lawlessness. They promised to do everything within their power to stop the President’s amnesty executive action.
Well, they lied. Now, their plan is to fund the Department of Homeland Security (including Obama’s amnesty) and then try to pass a bill to stop the amnesty bureaucracy.
Why would you fund something right before you vote to defund it again?
The Republican leadership thinks you’re stupid. They think that you will just accept their “solution” and not blame them when their idiotic plan fails.
You need to tell them otherwise!
Funding for Homeland Security is the only leverage we have. If the Democrats want to keep our country safe, then they’re going to have to defund Obama’s UNCONSTITUTIONAL and illegal amnesty bureaucracy.
If the Democrats refuse, then they are responsible for shutting down DHS.
It’s just amazing to me how the ruling party – the party that controls both chambers of Congress – could be blamed for a shutdown stemming from a DEMOCRAT filibuster.
The fact of the matter is that we are dealing with a bunch of spineless career politicians who only care about themselves and will sell out their constituents the first chance they get.
It’s easy to get depressed over this. It’s easy to feel helpless watching Mitch McConnell and the rest of the RINOs in leadership positions cave.
But you can’t let that happen. This can’t discourage you. If anything, it should compel you to do MORE to fight against the powers that want to surrender this country to people who have been breaking the law since the moment they got here.
The Republicans in the Senate are falling like flies. Now, Harry Reid and the Democrats are trying to convince John Boehner and the House to cave as well!
This is where you come in. Congress works for you and when you raise your voice, they listen.
This is what we’re going to do. We’re going to overload Congress with so many faxes against Obama’s amnesty that the fax machines won’t stop printing until next week!
