Fellow Conservatives,
In 2010, John Boehner made a promise that as Speaker of the House, he would give Congressmen and the public alike at least 72 hours to read any piece of legislation before it is put to a vote.
This comes after the Affordable Care Act was pushed through Congress without anyone having read it before voting. Well, surprise-surprise… John Boehner is about to break that promise. He released the spending bill 48-hours before the government runs out of money.
GOP leaders are trying to push through a massive spending bill without letting Congress or the public read it.
What’s even worse is that on nearly every issue, Conservatives aren’t getting what they want.
- Dismantling the contraception mandate in Obamacare? Taken out.
- Stopping Obama’s illegal alien amnesty? Removed from the bill.
- Halting burdensome EPA regulations? Not included.
Let me tell you what is in it. Complete funding for Obamacare… funding for Obama’s illegal alien amnesty… and $1 BILLION to help resettle illegal aliens across the country. This isn’t a spending bill… this is an AMNESTY bill!
John Boehner released the budget late last night hoping no one would read it. But I did, and the legislation is nothing but a surrender to Obama’s illegal alien amnesty!
Demand that your legislators DEFUND Obama’s illegal alien amnesty immediately!
The legislation is 1,600 pages long. So long that no one could possibly read the bill before the vote tomorrow. There’s only one problem… I read it and this is what’s in it. The legislation includes complete funding for Obama’s amnesty, provides $19 million to protect Rhinos (the animals, not the fake conservatives), gives a kickback to Las Vegas casinos who donated to Harry Reid’s campaign, increases military aid to countries like Egypt… the list goes on and on.
Now, don’t get me wrong… I stayed up all night reading this bill and there are definitely some helpful components. For example, the spending bill prohibits the Department of Justice from using taxpayer money to raid marijuana dispensaries in states where the drug is legal or decriminalized.
The spending bill removes funding for an Obama presidential portrait, which is pretty funny. It prohibits the White House from communicating with the IRS over a group’s tax-exempt status.
The bill cuts any funding to renovate the United Nations building in New York. It changes Michelle Obama’s school lunch program to allow schools to serve food that kids actually want to eat. It reforms Dodd Frank and explicitly prohibits transferring any prisoners from Guantanamo Bay.
These are all excellent provisions. Don’t get me wrong… there are a lot of good components in this bill.
But the $1.1 TRILLION spending bill also funds Obama’s amnesty. It gives $1 billion to the administration to help resettle illegal aliens across the country. It allows the administration to start implementing the President’s amnesty executive action.
There’s still time to stop this! We need to demand that Conservatives in both the House and the Senate vote against this budget bill.
A few useful nuggets aren’t enough to justify surrendering to Obama’s amnesty executive orders/actions.
Opposition to this bill is growing. Congressmen and Senators in both parties realize that funding Obama’s executive order is nothing but putting a stamp of approval on Obama’s lawlessness.
All we need is for brave patriots like YOU to stand up and DEMAND that this be stopped!
