Has President Obama committed an impeachable offense by lying to us about the motive for the attacks in Libya that killed our Ambassador Christopher Stevens and threw the Middle East, and our nation’s foreign policy, into further chaos? Then it is revealed that Obama and his administration reportedly had information about the impending attack beforehand and did nothing about it. Which is even worse.
A Wall Street Journal piece sums up the truth: “…what happened in Benghazi was not a failure of intelligence. It was a failure of policy, stemming from a flawed worldview and the political needs of an election season.”
When the President of the United States puts his reelection campaign ahead of national security and the lives of Americans, it is time for him to go.
One of the most important characteristics in a President is honesty. Obviously, the American people cannot be told about every national security secret, but outright lies and mistruths when it comes to our strength as a nation are not acceptable. Unfortunately, we have come to expect and even accept lying from our politicians, so when they do it, it’s but a blip in the news and no one is shocked. Why is this okay? Is this the direction we want to keep moving in, to raise our children not to tell lies and deceive, but then to tell them it’s something they should come to expect from those who are entrusted with the safety, security and integrity of our nation?
Former Arkansas governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee told Fox News’ Bill Hemmer: “Richard Nixon was forced out of office because he lied. And because he covered some stuff up. Nobody died in Watergate. We have people who are dead because of this. There are questions to be answered and Americans ought to demand to get answers.
Anybody with two eyes and an IQ above plant life knows what happened in Libya was not a spontaneous reaction to a 13 minute video on YouTube.”
There will always be an administration scapegoat, and in this case it’s looking like U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice…but doesn’t the “buck stop here” in the Oval Office? Isn’t this administration supposed to be the most transparent in history? Aren’t Americans being lied to, isn’t our safety being threatened, isn’t our way of life under attack?
Yet if we say anything in dissent, we are labeled “racists” or, according to the Department of Homeland Security, possible “terrorists.”

The Left can call it racism all they want, but last time we checked, Richard Nixon was a Caucasian male who ran amok of the law, and he was impeached. Is a man who is half-white, half-black, supposed to be held to different standards than everyone else? To listen to Democrats, it seems this administration is allowed to trample our liberties and decimate our Constitution simply because his dark skin gives him authority over our country without reproach or review. His army of Hollywood supporters will take to the airwaves and scream that you are racist if you dare disagree with anything he does. And, they are counting on your silence.
Don’t let them intimidate you.
Obama and his “Chicago politics” administration are VERY much focused on next month’s election and will do whatever it takes to ensure Obama maintains power, even at the expense of our national security, and sadly, even at the expense of the law.
Congress is going to begin hearings on the Libya terrorist attack on October 10th. We should then get to the truth, and find out what Obama knew, and when he knew it. If he is in any way responsible for the deaths of those Americans, including Ambassador Stevens—and if he willfully obstructed the truth about that from the American people—he should be impeached.
Rep. Peter King (R-NY) said of the cover-up:
“Either Ambassador Rice was deliberately misleading the American people or she showed and demonstrated such a lack of knowledge and sophistication that she shouldn’t hold that position anymore. The entire administration has handled this wrong from the start. They’ve misinformed the American people, misinformed the world.
“My belief is that the administration wanted this story out because if it were a terrorist attack, which it was, it would undermine the president’s position that somehow Al-Qaeda had been decimated…four Americans were killed including the ambassador. So I think a lot of it was done for electoral politics to cover the president’s failure.“
If the President’s sworn duty is to defend, at all costs, the Constitution of the United States—and our President has repeatedly dismissed that document and gone around the system of government our Founding Fathers created, intentionally ignoring terrorism and breaking the law—isn’t it our moral duty to call his motives into question and investigate his transgressions?
It seems the “most transparent” administration in history is being deceitful and playing politics with our nation, just to stay in power. Fax Congress and insist they begin impeachment hearings and finally bring the truth to light.
